Hello lovely people! Thanks for joining me today!
Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE country music and they know that Kane Brown is my absolute favorite right now. I was listening to one of his songs the other day while I was sitting in traffic (thanks to the 405) and he was singing about meeting his wife. The lyrics are, “Sometimes the finish line is just the start of something new. If I’d of never lost her, I’d of never found you.” How often does God do this in our lives? I started thinking about all of the things that have been a “blessing in disguise” in my life. So many memories came to mind. In each instance, I was so upset about a result until I found out that the Lord had something better planned. How many times has God done this? Taken something and said, “You don’t see it now but you will. Trust me.” It’s even written in scripture! John 13:7 reads, “Jesus replied, ‘You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand’”(NIV). Many different memories flooded through my mind as God showed me how He has been present at every moment of my life. It was overwhelming, and yet, full of peace.
Every day something new happens that I look back on to see God’s hand in it. As a Christian, (and this is just my opinion) I find it impossible to believe in coincidences. I know that God is actively working with me and my life. Because of this, my friend renamed coincidences. We call them God-winks (thanks Grace Piper!). The image we think of is when the connection is made and the light-bulb goes off in your head. Jesus is there smirking, giving you a wink as if to say, “Oh yeah, that was me!” It honestly makes me laugh every time!
Can you think of any God-winks in your life? I love that feeling of being loved in life like this. Try to keep an eye out for them! I promise that you will giggle too!
I’d love to hear your thoughts! Thanks for joining me on this journey!
With love,
Paige Riley
